A Bit About Me… My name is Cindy, and I'm an Aussie who has been teaching & need-greating in Asia for over a dozen years, as well as sharing in local building projects as a volunteer. I began my career as a faith-based educator after graduating from high school & whilst completing an arts based apprenticeship. In the early 2010’s I decided to change tack & resumed studying, this time in the education field. As of 2026, I have been a full-time teaching volunteer for almost thirty years in five countries, attending the PSS five times. This has truly deepened my appreciation for how well we are educated and trained. Secularly, I hold a Bachelor of Education, minoring in Psychology, & a Diploma of TESOL. I have over a dozen years of experience teaching English in both the classroom, & online. I love teaching, & I am a passionate believer that learning should be relaxed and enjoyable, with all types of learners catered for so that each student can be as comfortable as possible. I currently live in a small city in NE Borneo & serve in the Bahasa f ield. I work part time at a private school as their English & Drama teacher when the visa situation allows. A few years ago I started my own small online teaching business so that I would be able to support myself irrespective of what was happening visa wise. A Bit About my Classes… My classes are a series of highly interactive activities rather than a passive tutorial. My virtual classroom is a safe space that fosters both individual growth & teamwork. Every week we will explore the creative side of English, along with a special focus on public speaking & dramatic elements. The majority of weekly classes will include a unit of language mechanics (grammar, spelling etc) with the aim of strengthening the students comprehension of why it is so important to employ these effectively. I strive to choose themes & materials that are in line with Bible principles, & that will help each student utilise their individual abilities more effectively as a member of their local spiritual community. Please bear in mind that in traditional educational institutions, most students will spend a minimum of ten hours a week in class exploring facets of their country’s key language. The goal of my English class, & its assigned homework, is to provide a foundation from which parents can build upon in their own homeschool curriculum.

How Much Are my Classes & How Is Payment Made?

AUD$125 / NZD $135 Classes are paid by term upfront either by direct payment into my Australian or New Zealand accounts, or through the banking app WISE. Each standard term is of eight weeks duration, with each class running for two hours.
